This ANSI 150 4-inch rubber expansion joint is a flexible bellow pipe connector featuring galvanized carbon steel flanges. It is constructed from inner and outer rubber layers, nylon cord reinforcement, and a steel ring, all bonded together through vulcanisation into a unified, durable body.
These flexible rubber joints — often referred to as soft joints or shock absorbers — cushion piping movement while maintaining a tight seal. The inherent elasticity of rubber, combined with its resistance to media, weather, and ageing, ensures reliable long-term performance.
