The isolator is equally effective on air-conditioning plant and small pumps that share the same rigid-floor problem. This noise-reduction compression-mount rubber isolator is purpose-built for air compressors, where a rigid machine-to-floor connection would otherwise radiate a constant drone through the building. The mount works in pure compression, so the compressor load passes straight down through the rubber element and the isolation behaviour stays predictable from the moment it is fitted.
Because the load path is direct, heat build-up in the rubber is low and the element ages slowly. The simple geometry means the mount cannot be assembled incorrectly, which keeps field installation error-free.
The mount also damps the shock that accompanies compressor start-up, cutting the peak loads seen by the motor and frame. When a packaged unit is moved, the mounts travel with it and keep working without re-engineering the base.
